Class of 2013

YC
Yuan Chang Leong is currently a junior in the Psychology department. And no, he does not know what you are thinking right now. He wishes people would stop thinking that he can read minds. He actually can’t (well…at least not without a fMRI scanner). A Malaysian who grew up in Singapore, he suffers an identity crisis whenever people ask where he’s from. However, he is not confused about what food he likes. Besides being practically addicted to rice, he also thinks that soy sauce makes everything taste good.

Woo-Hyung Cho
Woo-Hyung Cho is an ORFE major from Seoul, South Korea. She enjoys eating Korean food, traveling, doodling, and sleeping. Picture taken from Salzburg, Austria.

dean Wang
Dean Wang is an economics major who hails from the frigid northern wastelands of Canada and is thus definitely international. Yup. He usually cooks in the Chinese style at home, but is planning on plagiarizing a large repertory of recipes from online repositories during his time with the IFC. In his free time, Dean enjoys playing the violin, listening to all sorts of music, and watching Star Trek.

Anna Wuttig
Anna Wuttig, pictured here with her favorite green tea-flavored shaven ice, grew up eating “international”– she’s half Japanese and half German. The most important decision her family would be faced with every day was whether dinner should be prepared “Eastern-style” or “Western-style.” A recent important decision Anna has made has been choosing to join the Chemistry Department at Princeton, but in an alternative life, Anna would probably be playing her violin in a room with one of those ‘slant-y’ rooftop windows and going hiking in the Bavarian Alps.

Maya Gainer
Maya Gainer is a junior in the Politics Department. She loves everything international, including clothes, news, travel and, of course, food. Indian food is a particular favorite, but that reminds her of her summer at Deworm the World, and deworming is not great dinner conversation. Maya also spends a lot of time tackling people on the rugby field, so she is a huge fan of carbs.

Alice Stanton
Alice Stanton hails from Erie, PA, wonderland of lake effect snow, quaint beaches, and seagulls, where it is entirely possible to experience each of the four seasons in a single day. Raised on ham and mashed potatoes, Alice has discovered that International food goes beyond the ‘meat and potatoes’! She is a junior in the Chemical & Biological Engineering Department.

Bia Oliveira
Bia Oliveira is a junior in the molecular biology department who was born and raised in Sao Paulo, Brazil. She enjoys traveling, reading and watching movies. She particularly likes coffee (as any good Brazilian) and chocolate, which explains why she almost always makes dessert and why IFC has so many bags of chocolate in the pantry.
